The multiplier project BASICON II targets the transfer, adaptation and implementation of the comprehensive
package European Construction Essentials, successfully developed in the BASICON project, in the European
construction training sector.
 
The project also aims to produce new means for the proof of skills, certification
and modular qualification in vocational training in the CEECS countries Poland, the Czech Republic,
Hungary, Lithuania and Estonia. The countries that took part in the original development (D, A, FI, BG, RO) will
monitor this process in the newcomer states, as well as intensifying strategic dissemination and anchoring the project on a national level. All partners contribute to an increase in employability on a national and European level.
 
Major activities of the 2 year-long project are:
Recognition of the qualification and certification measures as a national standard, and in conjunction with
the EUROPASS procedure, as a Europe-wide standard for proof of skills.

Lasting implementation/Valorisation of the BASICON products in PL, CZ, HU, BG, RO, LT und EE taking
special consideration of their effect on national vocational training practices (in training centres, SMEs) and
including the evaluation of target groups and specific needs.

Development of the internet-supported EUROPEAN CERTIFICATION PORTAL in the vocational area of construction. Further development of the exemplary e-learning tools as an instrument for testing and certifying.
Expansion of all instruments and materials into 13 country- and 12 language specific versions.
